POST 10 >> English lenguage challenges

I think that the english class in university it's something essential for any career today, because the world it's every day more connected and the communication it´something really important if you want to achieve anything with another group of people. But maybe here in FAU the class should be more directed to the knowledge that we will use in the future, and study things that will be useful for us.

Talking about the blog, i think it's a really good way to make the students develop the ability to read and write in english but maybe sometimes the topic of the blog could be our own decision, that will make a lot more fun the idea of write the blogg and for the readers won´t be the same information in the 3 bloggs we have to read.

The things that I still have to work it's essentially the writing part, i'm a little dyslexic so sometime I get confused writing in spanish ¡imagine in english!!, and what i do that and it had help a lot it's read in english, but i still have to read a lot more if I want to be able to write something without any help.

Finishing this blog i would like to say that beside the english class it's really important to talk in english and train the ear so you can have a conversation with someone if it's necessary, I for example like to see videos on youtube or series in english without subtitles, and also I have a couple of friends that live in canada and they don't speak a word in spanish, so if I want to talk with them I must speak in english and that´s a really good way to practice.

know reading what I write before maybe i say to many bad things about the class, but at the end it's a really important class, and essential to everyone. The class can have a lot of upgrades but should never be take of the career curriculum.

POST 9> Changes to my study programme

I think this is a really interesting subject to talk about, it's a good way to see what changes would you really like to do to the career or things that you would never change, and also allow to see how we must change the way to teach and learn in connection with the world.

I don't  think that the design career will have a change in the curriculum for a log time because this year we have a big change in the way to do courses and it's still in a beta phase, so probably in a long time won't have any surprises in that topic. But today we had an assembly about the infrastructure of the faculty and the dean show a lot of projects like; put a elevator between block C and block D, or put solar panels on the Titanic (block G), the elevator idea I don't like much but the solar panels I think could be a progress to the faculty.

 And finally I hope that in a few years or less the university give a little more support to the technology area in FAU because every day the world of design it's more connect to different type of machines that help in the process of design so we must be at the level of the other people that will work with us, and today in a world so merged with technological advance it's important to learn to how interact with the new technologies from the way to thing, and that's something we must learn and that will give us a lot of facilities in life.      

Post 7 >> My favorite book

I believe my favorite author it's Julio Cortázar, he is a French writer known thanks to one of his most interesting books, Rayuela the fun part about this books is that you can read it in a lot of ways and it had a different meaning each time, and the reader it's the one that chooses how to read the book.

I like to read short stories or science fiction novels, because those are books that don't precise your full attention when you are reading or only for a short time, so you don't have to take your time to read one o those, you just can read when and where you want.

My favorite book it's also from Julio Cortázar and it's a compilation of tales named “Historias de cronopios y famas” this book makes a joke about the different types of life and create a  world where it's all about the contrast between cronopios and famas.

The last book I read was the lord of the rings, I read it a couple months ago and  it's a really good book if someone wants to relax a little with some reading, but it's a book that takes a lot of concentration to read because of the names of characters and cities or places that are mentioned in the book, because we shouldn't forget that J.R.R .Tolkien creates this world from cero. but it ´s a book that I fully recommend.

Post 6 >> Postgraduate Studies

I always had two things that I really liked drawing and cooking, and i'm studying design now so I must some day study gastronomy, because I would really like to have it like a hobby or be able to create a union between this two disciplines.

I like gastronomy because my both parents had restaurants and they teach me how to cook and enjoy cooking when I was really little, so now I really use the kitchen like a space to relax and have a good time.

But i don't like everything about the food, i'm only interested on learning about salty food, and drinks preparation, i´ve never been interested on pasty-making, because i feel that it's a cooking style that don't allow to the chef to create from cero, that's because if you don't do de base correctly and with the exact measurement the dough won't work.

I would like to take a course of two years in the Inacap or another chef school, but must had the possibility of choose what to study, so I don't have to take courses that I´m not interested. and like it´s a intensive course of two years you must go there everyday to classes. it's similar to a university but you only go to cook and then eat wherever you do in class. I think it must be a really nice experience and something that will be useful for life so it's not only that a like it's also something that everyone should learn.

My dream job I think it is work for a big car firm, like Porsche, Lamborghini or in the best of cases the Italian brand Maserati, I think I would really like a job like this because it's a job that includes a lot of things that I like : cars, drawing, physics and other stuff, and because of all of that I really don't care about the salary, because it's a job that I Think should make me happy and that's what I want.

I imagine this job, not like normal design jobs, I think it's more dynamic than others, because of the big team working together and the test phase of any product, even though, must be an indoors job because of the use of computers and the necessity of having a comfortable place to draw.

Also because these cars firms are so expensive and renowned, I believe that the high post workers must travel a lot to confirm that the product it's being made correctly and that it's what they wanted.   

Now I'm studying design, and I won't in the future I hope not too far, have the possibility of doing a doctorate, or degree in Germany about the Bauhaus, this has no relation with cars  but I´m also a carpenter and I would like to use both think to create things made of wood.

The best concert

The best concert of my life I think was the Guns and roses concert in 2016, in the national stadium here in Chile, the most especial think about this concert maybe was that I never think that would be possible to see one of my favorite bands  because the stop playing together before I was born, so when I find out that Guns´n roses will come to Chile I bought the ticket to go in a few hours.

The concert itself was a really good concert, it was really punctual and they play a little more than two hours of all the classics of the band, and the atmosphere of the place was very nice, you could find people between 75 and 18 years old so everything was really calm. and  all the people was just enjoying the concert.

I believe that the best part of the concert was the moment between two songs when all the lights went of and suddenly a piano appears in the center of the stage, so my best friend touch my shoulder and tell my that we have to sit to enjoy the next song, and they start playing november rain, my favorite song of the group, and one of favorites song in the world, that maybe this was the best concert of my life.

Personal info

If we want to talk about how safe is the information you put in some social media network it's essential to understand that on the internet everything is available to anyone, so probably all the info you think only your friends (in Facebook for example) have can be used by some other people without your consent, like happen in the Mark Zuckerberg case. So knowing that I think people should learn to don't post everything on the internet, or put too much personal info, maybe that's why I like instagram more than others platforms, because you don't have to create a profile with all your info to use correctly the net, and also it's a place that you can use to see whatever you want, memes, food, more memes, clothes, moths memes, etc...

I think that the personal info that you put on the internet should not be different to what you will say to a person that you meet about a couple hours, because it's not that different, and that's your name, and maybe things you like but no more than that, people should not post anything that can be used by someone that you don't know.
